Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Faruk Yahaya has expressed optimism and determination that Nigeria will soon overcome her security challenges.
He, therefore, assured all law-abiding citizens that the Nigerian Army, in synergy with other security agencies will ensure that the nation overcomes its security challenges.
The Army Chief gave these assurances while speaking with newsmen in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, North Central Nigeria shortly after visiting the Nigeria Army 22 Armoured Brigade Headquarters and the Nigerian Army College of Education.
According to him, he is satisfied with the conduct of his men in 2 divisions of the Nigeria Army.
The Chief of Army Staff who interacted with officers and men of the brigade disclosed that he has identified their challenges and that such challenges will be addressed in order to further motivate them to improve on efforts being made to tackle the nation’s security challenges.
The visit of the Army Chief visit to Ilorin is part of the traditional operational visits to all the army formations and units in the country.
He later paid a courtesy call on the Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq at the Government House where he was presented with a souvenir.
